Episode 2.8 The Interchange

Sarah Vitak hosts this episode of The Interchange, originally aired April 14, 2013. On the bill: Justyna Bicz does an interview about the opening of the Whole Earth Building at local non-profit Uncommon Good, the third installation of Shayna Citrenbaum and Claire Pershan's segment Radio Reading, featuring student non-fiction, and Kara Freedman interviews a Harvey Mudd senior about his final project.

Episode 2.7 The Interchange

Arielle Zionts hosts this week's episode of The Interchange, which originally aired April 7, 2013. Featured stories include the international news headlines of the week with Kevin Tidmarsh on his Weekly World Review. Next we turn to my series Discussing Differences where I interview Mia Mingus, a disability justice activist and Robin Brody, the president of Active Minds, a mental health advocacy and education club. We then hear story produced by Justyna Bicz about various students’ childhood love for, and violence towards their stuffed bigbirds. Finally, Warren Szewczyk and Zain Soofi interview Tamiko Chicone, the pastor of social justice at the Pomona First Baptist Church. Chicone speaks about her group Traffic Free Pomona which works to end local and global human trafficking. We end our show with prerecorded poems by Jacob Balthazor and Nora DeMuth.

Episode 2.6 The Interchange

Justyna Bicz hosts this week's Interchange, which starts off with Radio Reading, a recurring segment on creative writing produced by Shayna Citrenbaum and Claire Pershan. Later on in the show, we'll be hearing from Melanie Sims as part of the KSPC Poetry Program, and finish this weeks' show off with a soundscape produced by Sarah Vitak. Enjoy!
