Student Uproot presents a lecture from Sonali Kolhatkar, host and executive producer of Uprising on KFPK 90.7 FM in LA. This lecture, entitled "Globalism, Social Justice, and the Media" is part of the annual Pinkel Lectureship in Media Studies and was delivered on Tuesday, April 24 at Pomona College.

Kara Freedmen interviews Prof Sidney Lemelle, Professor of History and Africana Studies at Pomona College, about the Association of Concerned African Scholars with a critique of Invisible Children's Kony 2012 awareness campaign. Kevin Amirdjanian reflects back on a CMC-organized service trip with input from several other students from his team. To commemorate April Fool's Day, Kip White presents a short history of an infamous radio prank--that of Orson Welles' War of the Worlds radio broadcast from 1938.
